Mid-Shore Pro Bono to Open Salisbury Location

February 2, 2018

Mid-Shore Pro Bono is opening an office in Salisbury to expand its elder law programs and services to the citizens of Wicomico County. The new location at 212 West Main Street, Suite 302 is slated to open on or about March 1st.

“The new Salisbury location enables us to extend our reach and services to low-income individuals and families on the lower Eastern Shore,” said Sandy Brown, Mid-Shore Pro Bono Executive Director. “Given the expansive land area of the Delmarva Peninsula, it is imperative that we remove the geographic barriers to justice that are unique to rural communities. A generous grant from The Leonard and Helen Stulman Charitable Foundation and support from The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, allows us to serve the aging population in Wicomico by making our programs and services accessible in their community.”

The new Salisbury Office will be staffed by part-time paralegal who will be available to meet with potential clients seeking free legal help. Mid-Shore Pro Bono hopes to expand its network of volunteer attorneys with this new location. Mid-Shore Pro Bono offers several diverse programs including Family Law, Foreclosure Prevention, Consumer Debt and facilitates free Legal Clinics in addition to offering Community Conferencing and Restorative Justice Programs focused on youth. Services are free to financially eligible applicants.
