Mission:

Mid-Shore Pro Bono connects low income individuals and families who need civil legal services with volunteer attorneys and community resources.

Community Conferencing Project

Juvenile offenders involved in misdemeanor activity including bullying, fighting, theft, vandalism, gossip are the focus of this project.  Mid-Shore Pro Bono supports the vision of safer communities by focusing on preventing youth from becoming victims or perpetrators of criminal activity.  The Community Conferencing Project promotes accountability for actions and greater understanding of how personal actions affect others and the community at large.

Elder Law Project

Mid-Shore Pro Bono recognizes that a growing proportion of the Eastern Shore residents are seniors.  Elder Law is not just about  wills, trusts and estate issues.  Our Elder Law Project offers opportunities for seniors to address the special and unique challenges they may be facing. We partner with the Senior Centers in our area to provide convient access to legal advice through our free  Elder Law Clinics held in Talbot, Dorchester, Kent and Queen Anne's Counties.  Clients are able to meet privately with an attorney to discuss their matters. Wills, powers of attorney and advance medical directives can all be taken care of by our volunteer attorneys through these clinics and a follow up appointment.

For more information about any of the projects we offer, please contact Mid-Shore Pro Bono at 410-690-8128.

Consumer Protection Project

This project, which was launched in 2011, enables Mid-Shore Pro Bono to provide pro bono legal service to consumers in debt buyer cases through brief advice clinics and/or direct representation through volunteer attorneys.
